Smithfield: Holiday services at St Bartholomew the Less

The main 11am Sunday Eucharist in the Parish of Great St Bartholomew at Smithfield will be in the Hospital Church, St Bartholomew the Less, during the present holiday season.

However, there will be a return to the Priory Church for St Bartholomew’s Day festival  around 24 August. This is the end of St Swithun’s forty days of holiday rain or sunshine.

Rector’s 20 years: In  September it will be 20 years since Dr Martin Dudley, the Rector, came to the Priory Church. He is the 25th rector in succession to the priors. The anniversary will be marked with Choral Evensong on Wednesday 9 September at 6pm. The preacher will be the Dean of Westminster Abbey, the priory’s patron.
